" I booked this as a surprise wedding aniversary gift for my husband, who then booked one for myself as a xmas gift. What can i say,from arriving to leaving you will have a fantasic experience.Very informal you are put at ease right away,Mandy is very knowledgeable we got to learn a lot of things.To be able to fly these birds was a dream come ture for myself and hubbie, i cannot recommend Falconry Days highly enough,a truley brilliant day out good value for money. "What an informative enjoyable day, the birds are magnificent and it is a truly "hands on" day as the birds fly to your gloved fist many times over the course of the day. There is no need to feel apprehensive about this the birds are so precise in their flying and so gentle. Host Mandy is very welcoming, enthusiastic,and knowledgeable, she works very hard over the course of the day. This operation is very well run by people who really care about birds of prey. There is also a conservation side to the operation as well. The birds are really well looked after, look in excellent condition and are very active. The birds' diet and weight is stricly controlled, the birds are weighed every day and the weight recorded in order that the birds are kept at the most natural weight for flying (I was surprised at how detailed this process is).Photographers will love the experience as you can photograph the birds actually landing on the glove. This centre has both a fun side and a scientific side to it.
Why didn't the "Harry Potter" filmakers use one of Ladyhills owls for the latest film at Alnwick Castle. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. There is now a centre at Matfen Hall. Get booked up, you will thoroughly enjoy it. I would certainly come again. "
